Har-Ber has a chance to make history again Friday when the Wildcats open the season at home against Webb City, Mo., which has won 30 consecutive games.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.

The Cardinals (2-0) are ranked No. 1 in Missouri’s Class 4A and No. 19 nationally by USA Today after beating Class 6A Kansas City Rockhurst 49-20 last week. Har-Ber rallied to beat Webb City 42-35 two years ago to end a 91-game regular-season winning streak for the Cardinals, who recovered to win another state championship in Class 4A.

Broc Berus scored four touchdowns, and Shiloh Christian scored 27 unanswered points in the second half to pull away from Charleston and claim a wild victory over during Tuesday’s second game of the Hootens.com Kickoff Week at Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Charleston, which had its 29-game win streak snapped, had made it a 43-36 game when Jackson Rowland and Mason Wisdom connected with 59-yard touchdown pass with 9 minutes, 36 seconds left in the third quarter before Shiloh Christian blew the game open.
