Just wrapped up a long evening here in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the preseason Gridiron Classic. Springdale Har-Ber and Bentonville were our local teams in the event, which included four schools from the Sooner State. The games were held at Union High’s Tuttle Stadium and I have to say I have yet to see a high school stadium in Arkansas that can compare with this one.

I also haven’t come across a preseason scrimmage/jamboree quite like the Gridiron Classic. Each school got in plenty of work tonight, got to face off against three different opponents and capped the night with a full half of ‘real’ football. After watching all of this, I hope Arkansas does something like this in the future.
